JOB SUMMARY:
The Content Creator will conceptualize innovative ideas that will assist in the engagement of KB Home’s target audiences and be able to translate the company’s brand aesthetic into assets that will live across all social platforms and drive best-in-class customer experience and engagement. This role will require a strong understanding of how to create digital content within the parameters of platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn. The role will be responsible for executing all social media content while adhering to the designated social media and content strategy with aspects of digital trends, analytics, and various stakeholder perspectives in mind.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content Creation and Implementation
  • Support the company’s overarching social media strategy and implement proposed initiatives.
  • Orchestrate day-to-day content in the form of, but not limited to, videos and photos to primarily be posted across social media channels with the goal of increasing target audience engagement levels.
  • Edit, review, and QA content for quality, value, and uniqueness.
  • Turn collection of photography, short video clips, etc., into content assets built for individual platforms and specific audiences.
  • Stay ahead of new creative trends, insights, and help generate ideas on how to best translate these across KB social media platforms.
  • Turn branded content into volume of social content collections (clips, gifs, graphics, photos, stories, etc.)
Project Management
  • Oversee overall social media brand storytelling and creative asset calendar with internal creative, brand partners, and external agencies
  • Coordinate with internal teams (regional marketing, creative services, digital marketing, website) to secure proper social media promotion for all departments and divisions.
  • Understand brand aesthetic to ensure all creative deliverables tell KB story and are brand appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Arts (Graphic Design, Photography, Digital Marketing, Media), or a related discipline required
Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in photography, videography, and photo/video editing.
  • Expert understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn required.
  • Videography or design education or equivalent relevant experience, all applicants will be asked to provide recent content examples from professional/verified social media accounts.
  • Prior agency experience preferred
  • Experience creating content for professional social media accounts required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Shows a demonstrable passion, curiosity, and experience in making creative content for social media platforms including Instagram Posts/Reels/Stories, Pinterest pins, TikTok videos, and YouTube video edits.
  • Social media savvy and keen understanding of what type of content works well on various platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate succinctly and accurately and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Excel at taking creative direction, work collaboratively, and integrate feedback into work.
  • Ability to make attention to detail a priority, while simultaneously successfully managing multiple project timelines.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to introduce the brand to emerging social platform innovation, trends, and opportunities.
  • Desire to flourish in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial and proactive spirit, with openness to a ‘rapid response’ approach.
  • Can maintain a finger on the pulse for emerging Social platforms, with a focus on engaging the Gen Z and other identified target consumers.
  • Proficient in one or many of the Adobe Creative Suite programs and eager to continue to learn and evolve in other efficient and effective ways to make social first content: Adobe Creative Suite, mobile creator apps and in app editing (Instagram story creation, TikTok editing etc.)
  • Keen eye for model home/interior design photography, as well as experience in styling décor for photoshoots.
  • Experience working in social media editing tools including, but not limited to, Canva, Sprinklr/Later.com, Khoros, Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Work in-sync with all division team members across Social, Influencer, PR, Sales, and Community Management.
Work Requirements
  • Potential travel to divisions or model homes once travel restrictions are lifted
  • 8-hour workdays with flexibility to work overtime when needed due to special projects or events
  • Position is on-site in Westwood, Los Angeles (Note: Company is currently evaluating future work location requirements for all employees. We are in the process of transitioning from fully remote work in our corporate office to a hybrid work plan with 2-3 days minimum in the office each week and the balance of days remote/work-from-home at the employee’s discretion. Accommodations will be considered if requested, but will be at the discretion of the Company to approve.)
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is $75,000 – 90,000 per year depending on experience, paid semi-monthly.
  • Bonus: this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
