Job Title: Video Content Creator

Part-Time, 60-80 hours a month

The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media, especially TikTok, is up-to-date with trends, is a creative and an out-of-the-box thinker.

Responsibilities:

• Stay current with industry/advertising/cultural/topical trends
• Work closely with art team to coordinate and deliver assets on a deadline
• Pitch and create engaging video content for TikTok/Social Media, from ideation to final product
• Creatively produce and edit video assets
• Must be able to shoot and edit quickly (in instances of topical / timely trends)

Requirements:

• Creative mindset: Possess a highly creative and innovative approach to content creation, with the ability to think outside the box and push boundaries to create exceptional social media content.
• Strategic and conceptual thinking, with passion for innovation and disruption
• Familiarity with and passion for California lifestyle and surf culture a plus.
• Strong visual storytelling skills: Have a keen eye for visual composition, lighting, and aesthetics. Experience in photography and videography is a plus.
• Tech-savvy: Possess a high-quality iPhone or equivalent smartphone and the ability to use it effectively to capture and edit photos and videos. Proficiency in relevant editing software and apps is desirable.
• Social media expertise: Experience in creating content specifically for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube is highly desirable. Understand the difference between “paid” and “organic” story telling content and how to capture each separately.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel: Be open to traveling to various locations within Southern California with your own mode of transportation.
• Ability to spot trends before they become mainstream
• Deadline-driven: A proven record of delivery on-time and on-brief deliverables. Able to self-manage production timelines
• Ability to creatively source on-brand props, talent, and other items needed for making strong, compelling content
• Responsible and professional: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, reliability, and accountability in managing deadlines, scheduling, and overall project management.
