Role: Desktop Support Consultant
Location: Cincinnati, OH(Hybrid Model)
Note:
- Once the person is comfortable with all the responsibilities. he/she can effectively demonstrate the same to management, he can work remotely all 5 days a week.
- Though he might be required to visit office in Cincinnati once in 3 – 6 months for special needs.
- The person is expected to work in hybrid model (need not work all 5 days a week from office).
Must Have:
·SCCM (aka Configuration Manager) – creating applications & packages, creating collections, creating deployments, running reports, creation of queries
·PowerShell
·Installation and Maintenance of Microsoft Office 365 and 2016
·Packaging (e.g. Admi Studio, Orca, InstallShield)
·Understanding of Windows O/S and troubleshooting (e.g. WMI, policies, security updating, etc.)
·Good understanding of Active Directory
·Good to Have
·Other programming/scripting languages
·SQL query writing
·Active Directory and GPO
Technical Expectations:
- Any one of VB, Java, C++, Batch, etc.
- Troubleshooting SCCM client issues and reviewing SCCM client logs
- Experience with basic scripting
- Troubleshooting failed deployments
- Experience supporting Windows workstations
- Common software (Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office 2016, Adobe Reader/Acrobat, Java)
- Identifying and patching for Vulnerabilities
- Basic understanding of applications and packages, collections, deployments and reports
- Experience with application management
- Basic network troubleshooting (Pings, network topologies, supporting remote users)
- Need ability to read and understand PowerShell scripts and make minor modifications to them
- PowerShell (MUST HAVE)
- Installing, packaging, uninstalling
- Basic peripheral troubleshooting (e.g. printers)
- Experience with SCCM
- Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows 11 is a plus)
Non-Technical Expectations:
- Good English and communication skills
- Ability to interact with co-workers and customers in a polite, friendly, professional manner at all times
- Good organization and time management skills
- Experience managing, coordinating, or being a lead technician on a technical team
- Work hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (some slight variability is fine)
- Generate report of team metrics (e.g. INCs closed per week, Crowdstrike corrections, ad-hoc tasks completed, etc.)
