Design/Senior Design Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide technical, cost, schedule and design advice for Access Control, CCTV and Structured Cabling Systems.
• Manage, schedule, and monitor the implementation of Access Control, CCTV and Structured Cabling systems.
• Review and validate subcontractor proposals, material submittals, method statements and other documents.
• Coordinate and review interface documentation.
• Provide value engineering and constructability advice on ELV systems.
• Review and validate consultant design packages in the above systems.

Technical Competencies :

• Technical writing
• Professional working knowledge of Security Systems.
• Technically familiar with Audio Visual systems.
• Familiar with Building Management System
• Good in Public Address System.
• Knowledge of Fire Alarm System
• Working knowledge of Passive ICT systems.

Management Responsibilities :

• Update management about the risks in project completion and provide risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure subcontractors execute ELV work in line with relevant standards.
• Ensure subcontractors plan, initiate, execute and monitor ELV work to the required time, cost and quality level.
• Allocate technical and coordination issues for resolution to appropriate parties.
• Review progress reports and take appropriate actions to recover time, cost, or quality issues.
• Manage project documentation including shop drawings, material submittals, bill certification, measurements, as built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
• Manage the subcontractor supply chains ensuring manufacturing and delivery in line with the project schedule.
• Coordinate the ELV testing and commissioning activities with testing agencies.
• Coordinate the schedules of ELV subcontractor with the Project Execution Schedule (PES).
• Coordinate ELV subcontractor activities with the project schedule and ensure ELV subcontractors utilize manpower and resources effectively.
• Report on all aspects of ELV work at weekly project management meetings.
• Coordinate project activities with clients and consultants. Review quality and timeliness of consultant deliverables.
• Lead and guide site engineers and supervisors.
• Organize and coordinate ELV subcontractor plan, logistics and schedules prior to construction activities.
• Ensure compliance of HSE and QA/QC procedures.
• Supervise manufacturing and carry out factory acceptance tests.

Review testing and commissioning documentation.
