Our Structural Engineering team continues to grow from strength to strength and has multiple opportunities for passionate engineers to join the team and collaborate on infrastructure projects, in particular water, energy and infrastructure projects.

GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer based either in Tampa, FL; Chantilly, VA or Bowie, MD. This position will support our Engineering Design Organization (EDO) for multi-discipline projects.

You will be supported by a team of technical specialists in a highly collaborative environment and given the opportunity to develop client relationships and junior engineers. Most importantly you will be mentored to grow and develop your career the way you want!

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Completing structural discipline lead roles on both small and large multidisciplinary projects
• Providing structural engineering design and assessments on a wide range of key infrastructure projects across the southeast region for both contractors and government entities
• Preparing fee proposals and participating in the teams’ winning work strategy
• Opportunity to work on both Brownfield and Greenfield projects
• Mentoring more junior engineers, structural designers and/or modelers

What you will bring to the team?

• Knowledge of structural design and finite element analysis tools
• Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one State
• Knowledgeable in design and analysis of concrete, timber, and steel structures.
• BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering. Masters beneficial but not essential
• Experience with design, construction and inspection of water, industrial, and/or infrastructure projects.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to safety
• Demonstrated experience designing infrastructure related structures, ideally within maritime and coastal, and water industry markets
• 10+ years of experience
