Our Defense team is looking for a Motor Design Engineer to join them. You will report to the Engineering Systems Section Head and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for the Motor Design Engineer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Electromechanical design experience and analysis of motors with a focus on brushless DC motors
  • Analysis capability using magnetic and thermal analysis tools specifically for the intent of sizing and optimizing motor designs
  • Familiarity with the following software packages: Ansys, Motorsolve, Motorcad, Ansoft & Sinda experience in electromechanical design

As a Motor Design Engineer, you will:
  • Create reliable electric motor designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program
  • Plan and conduct efforts requiring the evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard and nonstandard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria
  • Maintain currency with materials technology, industry design requirements (NASA, Military) and modern design analysis tools
  • Consult on new product and market development efforts
