Designer / Drafter Jobs

What you’ll do:

Responsible for creating 3D CAD models of complex hydraulic components from hydraulic diagrams and in collaboration with project engineering team. Prepare ICD, Final Assembly, subassembly, and detail drawings including Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing utilizing Creo Parametric CAD software. Candidate will be required to learn Eaton design engineering standards for utilization in preparation of all models and drawings, with minimal input from team.

• Ensures the successful completion of assigned projects to meet on time and budget commitments.
• Maintain project information and documents using an Engineering RAIL and Product Lifecycle Management tool. Prior use of Enovia (PLM tool) is not required but desirable.
• Participates on multi-discipline concurrent development and corrective action teams as required.
• Provide technical support to all internal functions, external suppliers, and customers as it relates to our products.
• Participate on project teams as required to
• Coordinate between technical lead, Engineering, and Program Management to ensure the design meets design and internal and external customer requirements.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses.
• In collaboration with the engineering team develop and maintain Design Standards for aid in design process.
• Perform peer-check of engineering drawings.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of three (3) years of designing, drafting, 3D CAD modeling, or related experience
• This position supports a U.S. government project and requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen.
• Minimum of one year of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Los Angeles facility (90039) will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in the use of Creo Parametric (ProE) CAD software or prior use of similar CAD software.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office
• Fluency in Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing IAW ASME Y14.5M-1994 or later.
