Adecco has partnered with a growing healthcare manufacturer looking for a Design Engineer II to help support their engineering team due to their extensive growth. The position is hybrid (in office 3 days a week) and located near Carlsbad.
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering, biomechanical or biomedical, a minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the Medical Device, orthopedics, or aerospace industries. This position is responsible for supporting the development of new products, product improvements, and line extensions of existing products. This includes support of design documentation, engineering testing/analysis for new and existing products, and support of ongoing production,

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Product development including:
- Create and review change orders for engineering-related documents like drawings and procedures.
- Contribute to the formulation of user needs and design requirements.
- Provide engineering support for clinical studies.
- Offer engineering assistance for production, marketing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs.
- Take ownership of achieving project goals and milestones.
- Utilize 3D CAD software to design components and systems.
- Generate innovative solutions to fulfill user needs and design requirements.
- Propose and implement internal process improvements.
- Perform, document, and approve tests for new product development and testing of existing products.
- Contribute to the development of intellectual property.
- Adhere to design control and quality system processes.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure task completion.
- Generate graphics as necessary for documentation purposes.
- Provide engineering support for regulatory submissions.
