Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Potential Temp to Perm)

Pay Rate: $70/hr. - $74/hr.

Shift Time: 1st Shift (M-F; 8 PM – 5 AM)

In this role you will design and implement Braking and Steering components, integrating with chassis component systems from concept to production.

:

• Experience using CAD System (preference CATIA)
• Ground up design experience in stampings, cast products.
• Attention to detail
• 2 years minimum experience working in Chassis - Braking experience preferable.
• Solid fundamental knowledge of chassis design, modeling GD&T, Clash analysis, 2D Drawing development, Assembly drawings, DVP

Responsibilities:

• DRE role will require ability to discuss, understand and meet attributes requirements with internal stakeholders.
• Create and develop engineering specification packages that effectively communicate to internal and external partners to ensure products meet given project parameters.
• Complete and release Braking components including service kit and/or assembly documentation, including 2D drawings
• Develop collaborative relationships with Braking component suppliers and manage them to deliver projects on time and to specification.
• Offer solutions to issues, ability to design countermeasures in CAD
• Effectively balance multiple projects, responsibilities, and tasks simultaneously CAD dynamic analysis
• Design and implement Braking and Steering components, integrating with chassis component systems from concept to production.
• Manage designed parts in the virtual environment and support virtual build and release activities.
• Project Management of Braking component development & validation
