Basic Job Function:Assist Kitchen operations including but not limited to; removal of garbage, transportation of equipment and/or supplies. Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Use of Company Vehicle: Designated to drive a company vehicle. Class B Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in driving 15 to 25 foot box trucks preferredValid Driver's LicenseMust have a favorable driving historyDOT certification requiredCompany policy requires that one must be 21 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review and DOT physicalGood communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of food preparation and sanitation proceduresAbility to understand and follow safety requirementsConsistently aspires to fulfill our core Company values (Respect, Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, Accountability, Caring, Loyalty & Trust)Exhibits the Sea Island Five-Star Behavior Standards with guests, members and co-workersMust possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectivelyMust be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environmentAbility to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changesMust be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysReport to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company Dress Code Policy Tasks/Responsibilities: Transportation of banquet food and equipment to and from eventsFollow the rules/regulations of food transportation to protect from contamination and spoilage of foodProperly clean and store all china, silver, utensils, pots, pans, serving ware and other equipmentReview mis-en-place form and communicate needs for china, glass, silver and other special equipment if neededPerform sanitation duties such as mopping floors, cleaning work surfaces, empty trash containers, sweeping floors, etcMaintain equipment in a professional manner and maintain a clean, safe and efficient work stationReport equipment break downs and safety concerns to supervisorCommunicate with the Chef on delivery time for food and equipment needed for eventsEnsure that food and equipment is set up prior to the event based on the standard set for having receptions or buffets set upSet up functions with ice, tables, chairs, utensils and other equipment as requiredInform the Chef on duty of additional food requirements, restocking of foodBreak down and return food, equipment, props etc to the assigned areasEnsure that all food is returned to the Chef for inspection and that all equipment is clean and stored properlyMaintain equipment in a professional manner and maintain a clean, safe and efficient work station Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s abilityIf applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areasUphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timingUphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and proceduresReport all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediatelyAttends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementWilling and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership Physical Requirements: Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periodsIf applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyAbility to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shiftAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMay be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazardsAbility to maintain compliance with Sea Island’s Resort Company Professional Image Policy
