Position: Data Manager
Location: New York, NY/Hybrid
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $65,300 - $81,600. This midpoint for the salary grade is $70,000. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience.
Position Description:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Data and Analytics, the Data Manager serves as a key member of the Technology and Data team, contributing to the group’s success by driving and supporting a wide range of activities. This position’s responsibilities span across Data Governance and Operations, related Documentation and Training, and diverse administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the team.
As a key player in the organization’s data-driven endeavors, the Manager will work diligently to maintain and enhance data management processes, proactively address challenges, and continuously seek to optimize performance. By fostering a culture of collaboration, the Data Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility, empowering the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions. In addition, the Manager will handle various administrative tasks as needed to support the Technology and Data team, enabling the group to focus on achieving its strategic objectives and delivering exceptional results for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Serve as a first point of contact for internal stakeholders on day-to-day Data-related issues and inquiries.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity across various systems and platforms.
· Assist with Data Governance efforts by creating and updating data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines. Offer support and counsel to business users in these areas and promote use of associated resources.
· Manage a calendar of and sometimes lead Trainings on Data Analysis tools and best practices. Build and maintain a comprehensive library of guides, training materials, and documentation to support self-service analytics across the organization.
· Identify opportunities to optimize data management processes and implement improvements.
· Contribute to the development of data management strategies and roadmaps.
· Support and schedule Technology Division Meetings and handle other administrative tasks when needed.
Qualifications:
· Exceptional organizational and prioritization abilities
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Self-driven and detail-oriented, with a strong aptitude for collecting, analyzing, organizing, and presenting information effectively.
· Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
· A strong team player with a customer service orientation and exceptional interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM databases such as BBCRM or Raisers Edge
· Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, and Ad-hoc Query tools is a plus.
