Job Description
General Statement Of Responsibilities


Under the direction of the Project Director for the Community Health Worker Training Certificate Program, the Project/Data Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day delivery of training and field placements at experiential learning sites for all CHW trainees and ensures the provision of wrap-around support to trainees and apprentices. The Project/Data Manager will provide data coordination and is responsible for monitoring and tracking trainee participation in the project and creating data-driven reports for the funder. The Project/Data Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and final delivery of project tasks on-time and within budget, while assisting the Project Director to ensure that the program’s goals and objectives are met.


MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):


  • Coordinate project teams to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Create data-driven reports for funders, partners, and community members to demonstrate impact and progress.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders and CAI senior management.
  • Closely track trainee participation in the project and ensure that they are meeting required standards.
  • Manage the delivery of CAI’s CHW Training Certificate Program and related training initiatives in close collaboration with the Project Director.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends and insights to inform project direction and decision making.
  • Work collaboratively and pro-actively with partner agencies to support recruitment and placement of CHW trainees and apprentices.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Work closely with the Support Coach in providing wrap-around support to trainees and apprentices.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.


Minimum Education, Experience And Other Skills Required


  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and communicate insights to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent planning skills, extremely organized, and ability to multi-task.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and the principles of performance management to improve patient and community outcomes
  • Experience working with or as Community Health Workers/ Health Support Workers/ Patient Navigators
  • Excellent analytic, strategic thinking and presentation skills including interpersonal, as well as oral and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with data collection and management of databases
  • Experience creating data-driven reports for different audiences
  • Bachelor's degree and experience working with workforce development programs
  • Demonstrated skills in project coordination and project management.
  • Flexibility of schedule and ability to travel (approximately 25% travel-time required).
  • Experience working with non-profits or in a mission-driven organization


Preferred


  • Experience managing Community Health Workers/ Health Support Workers/ Patient Navigators
  • Student centered, collaborative, and data driven approach to workforce development.
  • Master’s Degree in Public Health or Education or Social Work, or similar field preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint/Outlook.

While performing the Project/Data Manager CHWTP responsibilities , the employee is required to talk and hear . This position requires the employee to be on - site at a CAI office. The employee is often required to sit and work at a desk for prolonged periods of time and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Compensation


The salary range for this position is $85,000- $90,000. CAI offers a generous benefits package including:
