About Team

Walmart's Data Assurance Team protects and defends Walmart and associate data against inadvertent or malicious data loss to help safeguard customer trust and enterprise continuity.

This position is located in Bentonville, AR and is part of the incident management organization, which is comprised of the Security Operations Center, Incident Response, Hunt Team, Data Assurance, and Cyber Intelligence. This Data Assurance Team operates various shifts across the week to ensure coverage twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The schedule for this salaried position with an overnight pay differential, is from 6:00pm to 6:00am each shift, and rotates from a short week to a long week. The short week is Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, while the long week is Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Applicants are expected to demonstrate an understanding of information technology and cybersecurity concepts and utilize critical thinking skills to make informed, actionable decisions. Members of this team are expected to analyze data using provided tools, evaluate the level of risk associated with the activity, and articulate the details of the identified activity to various stakeholders. Strong communication skills are necessary for this position, as a successful applicant would need to be able to communicate with various members within Information Security or other key stakeholders to answer questions, provide guidance, and escalate priority matters.

What You'll Do

As a Data Assurance Analyst with Walmart, you will monitor data movement by utilizing data loss prevention (DLP) tools in accordance with internal policies. This includes analyzing alerts, finding correlating contextual datapoints, and determining the appropriate path moving forward for one of the world's largest networks. You will have the opportunity to protect the data of millions of customers, associates, and Walmart's ever-expanding infrastructure across the globe. This role will put you on the cyber-frontlines with some of the world's top security experts. What You'll Bring

• Experience building and maintaining automated alerts and dashboards
• Have experience working cross-functionally with other information security disciplines, i.e., incident response, security operations, cyber-intelligence
• Can articulate technical details pertaining to cybersecurity concepts for non-technical audiences
• Critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot problems to understand root causes
• Proven analytical experience.
• Have cybersecurity or information technology related certifications
• General understanding of information technology and/or cybersecurity principles along with a security mindset
• Endurance to work overnights and adaptability
• Desire for personal development and seek cutting edge industry knowledge
• Team player mindset and willingness to support various operational related projects
