JOB DESCRIPTION:
Joining the team as a Data Analytics Analyst role, working within the Select Risk Group (E&S) of our NAP (National Accounts Property) unit, you will be responsible for data cleansing, design, analysis and modeling of organizational data. Using your advanced Excel skillset, you will be able to provide business insights to the different business areas you support.
This position is 100% remote within the continental United States.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
  • Performs modeling for the purpose of quantifying the performance of the business area and evaluating operational changes. Reports findings to Underwriters, Head of Select Risk Property and Exposure Management team.
  • Provides quantitative support to interpret and/or model data and explains variances/trends.
  • Responds to and fulfills adhoc data requests.
  • Interprets data and identifies relevant analyses and possible solutions using judgment and precedents.
  • Assists with the building of dashboards (using excel and/or Proprietary Software) and helps with the preparation of reports Head of Select Risk Property and Exposure Management team.
Reporting Relationship
Typically Manager or above.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Ability to adapt to change and value diverse opinions and ideas.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of CNA’s internal and external business partners.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve simple to moderately complex situations and issues. Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of financial, economic, and/or statistical practices, procedures and principles, which may include a specialty area of the business
  • Developing technical expertise and product knowledge.
  • Has a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
  • Good time management and strong organizations skills with the ability to prioritize and complete work and/or projects effectively.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions effectively
  • Collaborates with all levels of team members to explain potentially complex information.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or related field or equivalent years in work experience
  • Typically up to two years of related work experience.
