Data Analytics Engineer-Remote
As Omnicell strives to position itself as a premier digital healthcare company, Omnicell’s 340B Data Acquisitions team is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer who is an experienced professional that will play a key role in support of those efforts by leading, creating, and extending the Omnicell 340B products. This person is a highly skilled software designer and developer who can apply industry and corporate best practices to produce quality applications. This person applies their practical and theoretical knowledge from Computer Science and previous experience in Healthcare or a related industry. This person works as a part of a team to design and develop new products as well as maintain the Omnicell 340B current portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Work as both a developer and tester to ensure proper unit and test automations are in place and documented, create unit tests to help ensure code quality throughout the application’s life cycle, and participates in code reviews for fellow team members, as required
- Proactively assessing and mitigating project risks from the development side to ensure timelines are met
- Understand how Omnicell solutions meet our customers' needs and how our suite of products is used across the continuum of care
- Execute on a technical solution with minimal guidance, creating solution prototypes, providing top quality design, and create documentation for support and understanding of code created for each initiative
- Continue to improve code quality by tracking, reducing, and avoiding technical debt
- Adhere to software development design standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software
- Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment – writing / decomposing user stories, participate in grooming and estimation sessions etc.
- Create tickets and participate in the change control/change management discussions and processes for business unit
- Collaborate with software quality engineers and other cross-functional teams in all phases of testing, documentation, and training
Required Skills:
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Version Control tools like GIT
- Expertise in writing stored procedures and SQL queries
- Encourages constructive design discussion with the team
- Ability to communicate well and work with other developers and can foster team and peer loyalty
- Proficient in Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle management
- Self-motivated, independent worker who is driven to deliver results without close management
- Strong data analytics, quantitative skills, problem-solving skills, comfortable navigating data-driven business environments
- Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
- Excellent prioritization skills to deliver multiple projects in a timely manner
- Good understanding of Test-Driven Development and Behavioral Driven Development strategies and approaches
- Expertise building ETL solutions using SSIS.
- Be able to work efficiently in a high pressured and fast pace environment
- Sense of urgency and adherence to deliverable dates
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years as a developer with experience in SQL and SSIS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems Management or equivalent
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in software design and development using C#, Microsoft Azure Data Factory, AWS, .NET Framework / .NET Core, REST APIs, XML, Angular (or similar UI Framework)
- Knowledge of pharmacy, prescription claims adjudication, PBM, or medical EDI data a plus
- 2+ years related experience developing in the Pharmacy, Hospital/EMR, PBM, hospital revenue cycle, or 340B industry
Work Conditions:
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
- Onshore/Remote environment.
