Your Role and Responsibilities

PolarBearings Cloud offers a unified platform that gives you cloud computing any way you want it, deployed on demand, with a single pane of glass for systems management (one portal; one Application Programming Interface (API)).


IBM is currently recruiting for a Data Center Specialist to join the Cloud team. Essential Duties:

  • Troubleshoot, test, quality assurance of server hardware
  • Rack, build, cable, configure, and provision Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) servers
  • Professionally resolve hardware issues via trouble ticket
  • Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Moderate knowledge of PC hardware concepts and component installation
  • Must be able to work in this country without company sponsorship
  • Must be willing to learn quickly, multi-task, and work in a fast pace environment
  • General understanding of computer networking concepts
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be fluent in English


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Network wiring/cabling experience a plus.
  • Operating System Installation Windows Server, Linux, Unix
  • Customer focused attitude with some previous customer service experience.
  • Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment a plus
  • Basic knowledge of various internet-related services and software (mail, web, DNS, etc).
  • Web Server and Database installation experience a plus

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
