Overview:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive informed decision-making within the supply chain function of the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, inventory, sourcing, IT and finance, to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve overall supply chain performance. Your expertise in data analysis and supply chain management will contribute to enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing inventory levels.

Responsibilities:

• Data Identification & Manipulation: Identify, retrieve, and manipulate data from internal and external datasets. Identify, define, and translate business needs/problems into analytical questions.
• Data Integrity and Risk Management: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by conducting regular data audits and implementing data governance practices. Identify data quality issues and work with stakeholders to address and resolve them. Assess and mitigate risks within supply chain, such as disruptions, delays, and quality issues. Analyze historical data and industry trends to proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
• Data Analysis: Aligns and directs the management, development, and integration of data analytics and business intelligence necessary for supporting the mission, vision, strategies, objectives, and goals of business. Partner with senior team members to assess needs and define business questions.

• Reporting and Visualization: Prepare and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key findings, performance metrics, and actionable insights to stakeholders. Utilize data visualization tools to effectively present complex information.
• Data Comprehension: Understands data sources and limitations, warehousing system, and the impact of that data on business decisions. Understands that information and data are key business assets and operationalizes the application of data and information to deliver optimal performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within supply chain. Recommend and implement process enhancements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase productivity. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain and data analytics. Identify opportunities to leverage new tools and techniques to enhance data analysis capabilities.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain activities, such as order fulfillment, on-time delivery, stock availability, and supplier performance.
• Forecasting and Demand Planning: Collaborate with demand planning teams to develop accurate forecasts, monitor demand patterns, and analyze inventory levels. Identify demand fluctuations and propose strategies to optimize inventory management.
• Collaboration and Communication: Partner with cross-functional teams to collect relevant data points and ensure the data is structured in a way that can be used in existing and new data systems and reporting. Communicate results and insights, both verbally and written, in a clear concise manner to a non-technical audience, including data visualizations that communicate actionable insights.
• Data to Insight: Build tools that translate insights to action. Develop and maintain data sources and dashboards to enable responsiveness to ad hoc questions in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• Organized with superior time-management and planning skills. Adapts easily to changing situations and demonstrates flexibility in juggling priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, economics, statistics or another related field a plus.
• 5+ years leveraging Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense or other BI tools for building interactive dashboards as well as ad hoc analyses. Power BI experience preferred.
• 5+ years transforming and storing data via SQL, Azure or other data warehousing tools.
• Proficient in using Power Query M language for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets and communicate/present solid conclusions and recommendations.
• Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for data modeling and analysis.
• 5+ years data analyst experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail or agency environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel, statistical/regression analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting.
• Quick learner who can grasp the core needs of a business and rapidly develop measurable solutions.
• Experience working with internal and external partners across multiple disciplines. Comfortable interacting with team members of all ranges of experience to gain understanding of the data needs and wants of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Solid understanding of supply chain concepts, including procurement, demand planning, inventory management, and logistics.
• Strategic and innovative thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment. Proven success developing robust reporting dashboards, which produce actionable insights aligned with business objectives.
• 3+ years structuring databases and manipulating large data sets.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
