Optavise is hiring a Reporting Analyst to translate data to help Optavise make sound business decisions through the use and development of reporting dashboards. The Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the overall, ongoing assessment of key Optavise-wide key performance indicators and other performance metrics. The analyst is expected to assist with the development of sophisticated queries for reporting and analytical methods to report on key metrics, identify problem areas, and develop possible solutions and improvements. Areas of research and analytics are focused on all lines of business sold by Optavise.


This is your opportunity to be a part of a growing team that will be centered around call center reporting, building reporting dashboards in Salesforce, Domo, Smartsheet, Jira, and any other applications that Optavise uses. In addition to these reporting needs, significant time will be dedicated to data validation to ensure the integrity of reporting and analytics completed. The analyst is expected to use the results of their analyses to identify efficiencies, drive business decisions, and communicate (verbally & in writing) these results to all levels of management.


As a Reporting Analyst, Your Responsibilities Will Include


  • Supporting Leadership in developing performance dashboards to track internal productivity.
  • Forecasting call volume in Workforce Management and phone system and support call center scheduling as needed.
  • Supporting Account Management, Client Delivery, and Product Management in developing external dashboards displaying metrics to external clients and brokers.
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of reporting capabilities across our analytical and data management toolsets (e.g. Excel, SQL, Domo, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Jira, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, etc.) through input and testing.
  • Maintaining reporting in the phone system to ensure call centers have real-time metrics reporting available and accessible.
  • Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
  • Administering weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual dashboards and reports.
  • Building and maintaining call center reporting dashboards for all lines of business in Salesforce, Domo, and any other applications as needed.
  • Supporting and maintaining survey data and leading analysis for Net Promoter Score (NPS) tracking.
  • Supporting end-user reporting requirements gathering and analysis in consultation with end users.


The Reporting Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:


  • Possess strong analytical skills to analyze data and build corresponding reports that translate relevant data points for operations use both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced technical skills including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Business Objects, or similar tools; Experience with or ability to learn and use SQL, R, SAS, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar tools.
  • Are able to develop strong working relationships and collaborate with a cross-functional group of partners, both internal and external
  • Are able to present information clearly and in a manner that is understandable to employees of all levels.
  • Have good time management skills to perform a variety of tasks, manage competing priorities, and complete tasks on time in a fast-moving environment while meeting project deadlines.


What You’ll Need


  • 2 years of data analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline or 8 years of equivalent work experience
  • Reporting experience with platforms such as Tableau or Domo
  • 1 year of SQL experience


What Will Set You Apart


  • Data analysis experience in an Insurance, Financial Services, or Operations Consulting role
  • Workforce Management Experience (NICE IEX, Community)
  • Net Promoter Score Experience (NPS)


This role is full-time work-from-home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US-based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and are pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
