We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our client’s dynamic IT team. This role will involve analyzing complex datasets to help our decision-makers gain insights and create data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is an experienced data enthusiast who loves finding trends, patterns, and actionable information within raw data.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure data integrity by validating results and troubleshooting data-related issues.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions for identified business problems.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources.
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data that could support decision-making.
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Perform statistical analysis on [data] using traditional and advanced methods.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.).
- Certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or similar will be a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
Expectations:
The successful candidate will have a high level of autonomy and will be expected to manage their own time and workload effectively. They should be able to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects. Adherence to the firm's standard procedures and policies is essential, as is the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
