Required Duties:

• Work collaboratively with dance mentors to implement the R.O.Y.A.L. Dance Class Lesson Plans

• Track Attendance

• Assist in facilitating mini social/emotional wellness discussions/lessons with students

• Facilitate dance games

• Collaborate with students to choreograph dance routines using the R.O.Y.A.L. Method (depending on the school site)

• Help Maintain a safe and supportive class environment

• Help Manage student behaviors with positive behavior supports

• Assist with informal dance showcase (depending on school-site)

• Collect data

• Attend bi-weekly staff meetings/trainings

• Help Collect dance sign-ups (depending on school-site)

Essential Skills:

• Knowledge of fundamental jazz and/or hip-hop dance skills/technique

• Ability to choreograph dance routines

• Manage class sizes of up to 24 dancers

• Work collaboratively as a team

• Use effective communication skills

• Use positive behavior supports

• Ability to facilitate small group discussion

• Conflict management skills

• Maintain Positive Relationships

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to teach multiple beginning leveled styles including jazz and hip-hop

• Ability to guide dancers in exploring conceptualized dance
