Job Description
Description

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire part-time Peer Mentor to join the UCLA TIES for Families Program. The UCLA TIES for Families Program is an interdisciplinary program dedicated to optimizing the growth and development of foster/adoptive children from birth to age 21, and their families. You will serve as a positive role model and provide individual support and guidance to foster/adoptive youth and parents. You will provide monthly updates to therapists about patients and attend meetings and trainings. Salary: $17/hr - $37.50/hrPlease note: we have 3 openings

Qualifications

Must be a current UCLA student Must be an adult adoptee or a former foster youth who resided in foster care Experience with mentoring high risk youth or families (preferred) Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team Discretionary skills to handle confidential/sensitive material Ability to take direction and supervision
