Summary
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts research and analyzes data regarding damages using maps, photos, and the NC811 system.
- Edits and updates that information into spreadsheets.
- Processes and compiles information from the damage investigator into a claim for Risk Management.
- Responds to emails and contacts Risk Management.
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers.
- Performs special assignments for management; participates in special projects; and prepares periodic and special reports as requested.
- Performs administrative tasks such as word processing, completing spreadsheets, creating PowerPoint, copying, filing, faxing, entering data, making calculations, and processing mail.
- Works as member of a team.
- Performs research of information; enters data; extracts data for analysis; and prepares, maintains, and produces lists, tables, and reports as requested.
- Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid North Carolina Drivers’ License

The City’s Background Check Policy requires background checks to be conducted on final internal or external candidate(s) applying for any position with the City of Charlotte. The type of information that will be collected as part of a background check includes, but is not limited to: reference checks, social security verification, education verification, criminal conviction record check, and, if applicable, a credit history check, sex offender registry and motor vehicle records check.

Final candidates must pass a pre-employment drug-screening test and physical examination. During the selection process, candidates may be asked to take a skills test, and/or participate in other assessments.
