Cybersecurity Analyst - Intern

Shockwave Medical, Inc. is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Essential Job Functions

• Primary responsibilities can include identifying and assisting in the remediation of threats, vulnerabilities, and maturing our security awareness training program.
• Participate in security architecture reviews and third-party risk management reviews.
• Generate security related artifacts as needed to meet internal and external compliance requirements.
• Keep abreast of industry news, guidance, and threat feeds.
• Create meaningful metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of security controls and security team operations.
• Monitor systems for threats and vulnerabilities as assigned.
• Contribute to information security policies and standards, procedures and other documentation as needed to improve information security capabilities.

Requirements

• Awareness of basic Cybersecurity concepts, threats, and attack vectors/
• Pursuing a degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or Information Assurance.
• IT Fundamentals, Network+, A+, Security+, SSCP, CISSP.
• Working towards one or more of the following certifications:

The market range for Shockwave Summer Internships is $22.00-24.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on undergraduate class standing.
