Job Description

The Opportunity:
Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to the Navy and DoD. In all of this “cyber noise,” how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you. We need your knowledge as an information security risk specialist to help break down complex threats into manageable plans of action. As an Information Security Risk Specialist on our team, you’ll work with Navy programs to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll get technical, environmental, and personnel details from engineers and SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll help your team guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.

You’ll work on translating security concepts for your client so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission critical networks and systems. This is your opportunity to take an active role in information security while growing your skills in cybersecurity, security and network tools, systems engineering, and data science. Work with us as we protect the Navy's cybersecurity posture.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • Experience with deploying, implementing, maintaining, and integrating cybersecurity tools and applications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to meet cyber schedule, performance, and quality metrics within the systems development lifecycle and acquisition lifecycle
  • Ability to identify and analyze risk and opportunities at both tactical and strategic levels
  • 3+ years of experience with complex cybersecurity projects and integrated systems
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities needed to obtain and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex technical challenges to both technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Secret clearance

Nice If You Have:

  • Master’s degree in a technical field
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with the DOD or Navy cybersecurity
  • Ability to apply subject matter expertise to system engineering and acquisition documentation
  • Experience with cybersecurity management tools
  • Experience with security tools and devices, such as network firewalls, web proxy, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools
  • CISSP or CCNA certification
  • Experience with the DoD or Navy acquisition processes
  • Top Secret clearance

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
