Computer Information Security (CIS) team is seeking a Cyber Governance intern for summer 2023. The intern will support the Cyber Governance team with short term cyber projects that supports the Lockheed Martin in identifying cyber risks, employee cyber education or supply chain cybersecurity.. The intern will work with program, technical and supply chain team members to obtain or verify information that relates to cyber risk and regulatory policies.
The intern will also support any of the following areas: the creation of compliance dashboards
Investigation into new cyber governance tools
Review, approval and submission of firewall rule and proxy access requests
Relationship between cyber regulatory compliance, corporate policy and standard operating instructions
Also, the intern will become familiar with DoD cyber regulatory requirements, LM compliance policies and cyber risk reduction practices.
Basic Qualifications:

• Understanding of foundational security concepts or coding best practices
• Demonstrated team player with strong communication skills
• Understanding of identification and mitigation of cyber risk
• Active college student seeking a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field

Desired Skills:
Information Technology-related coursework in one or more of the following:

• Project management skills
• Ability to effectively work in a team-environment
• Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills
• Cybersecurity foundations
• Data analysis
• Cloud Computing Technologies
• Customer service skills with related work experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $48,776 - $56,056 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
