Position Summary:


The Customer Training Specialist has experience with technical publication processes, procedures, and tools. Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design. Develops, conducts and evaluates effectiveness of technical training. Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials. Gathers data to support complete proposal development activities.


This is a hybrid position which will allow some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options:


St. Louis, MO


Ft. Walton Beach, FL


Ridley Park, PA


Oklahoma City, OK


Mesa, AZ


Seattle, WA

Position Responsibilities:


  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to determine content needs, and schedules. Meets all scheduled deliverables. Create a variety of types of content based on customer needs, priorities, and program schedules.
  • Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing training and materials.
  • Proactively communicates with employees, peers, and stakeholders. Keeps others informed by communicating project status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations, and listening to customer concerns and suggestions.
  • Establish positive relationships and effectively engage customer.
  • Assists in maintaining courseware and documentation for multiple customers across multiple sites.
  • Contributes to departmental best practices, including style guidelines, organization, configuration management, tools, and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Performs individual and group assessments to evaluate effectiveness of learning content and makes recommendation for improvements.
  • Designs, develops, evaluates and publishes new, highly relevant learning content to support customer requirements
  • Conducts training utilizing a variety of delivery methods and techniques, and customizes learning programs, courses, presentations and guides as needed
  • Assists in graphic design and technical formatting to communicate complex information simply to our customers.
  • Reviews training documents for grammatical errors and clarity.


This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • 2+ years’ in evaluating customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives, design.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing, conducting, and evaluating effectiveness of technical training
  • 3+ years of experience with technical publications, aircraft systems or technical data
  • 2+ years with a background in design and graphic principles for different publications and various digital media
  • 2+ years of experience with various military aircraft


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • Familiar with specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials
  • Familiar with industry-standard digital technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and publication for a different variety of platforms (desktop, laptop, and tablet)
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.


Typical Education/ Experience:


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).


Relocation:


This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the general location, or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: 75,650 – 102,350.

  • 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
