Job Description
  • This position is responsible for performing clerical duties in the various department including covering the front desk to answer the telephone and a wide range of departmental correspondence as needed, assisting with confirming/scheduling appointments, assisting with arranging transportation for participants, as well as assisting with purchasing and supplies.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous hospital or medical office experience preferred.

  • Previous medical office/customer service experience preferred. Strong communication skills and interpersonal. Ability to work independently of others and exercise good judgment. Requires on-the-job training to become familiar with department procedures. Knowledge of computers and office equipment. One year of experience in the area of geriatrics or senior care.

  • Education
  • Normal medical office environment. Extremely close eye work with use of computer throughout the day. Hearing within normal range. Frequent sitting, occasional walking, bending, carrying, pushing/pulling wheelchairs and lifting up to 50 pounds. Operates computer, copier, and general office equipment. Responsible for performing receptionist and clerical duties and assist with participant appointments. Highly motivated and self-directed ability to respond quickly both physically and mentally. Ability to focus attention and concentrate on several tasks at once.


This position may have contact with participants, employees, physicians/medical offices, and other members of the community. Maintains confidentiality of participant information at all times. Works within the EMR and transportation system, basic computer programs.
