Job Description

Position Summary:

Customer Service SR is a licensed insurance agent who handles inbound calls from Medicare customers that are interested in changing from one plan to another. The successful candidate will be able to interact appropriately and efficiently with customers using excellent interpersonal and listening skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.


Core Responsibilities:

● Inbound calls from current customers seeking support to change to another Medicare product.

● Outbound calls to existing customers to cross-talk.

● Maintain detailed knowledge of all products and procedures.

● Responds to all customers in a professional and courteous manner.

● Maintain active license and appointment.

Minimum Requirements:

● Working knowledge of the health insurance industry

● Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays and commit to and adhere to a phone schedule and shift. Standard shifts are anywhere between 8:00am and 8:00pm all time zones and are subject to change based on staffing and business needs.

● Strong telephone verbal and listening skills.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

● Dedication and commitment to exceptional customer service when selling and servicing our customers.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including oral presentation.

● Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail

● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce

● Understanding of the various Medicare products (Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Part D, Ancillary)

● Demonstrated ability to analyze information, problems, issues, situations, and procedures to develop effective solutions.

● Able to offer options and educate callers when appropriate.

● Able to work independently and in a team setting.

● Possess an active Health/ Life and Health insurance license.


Education and Experience:

● High School Diploma or GED required.

● Minimum 1 year of experience working in a high-volume call center environment.

● Insurance sales, Medicare Advantage experience preferred.


Preferred Requirements:

● Bachelor’s Degree

● Experience in or understanding healthcare and/or insurance industry.

● Sales experience within the insurance industry.

● Knowledge of managed care and insurance products.
