Job Description
Job Title: Customer Compliance Analyst

Reports to: Customer Compliance Manager

Location: Westlake Village, CA (Remote)
The Role
The Customer Compliance Analyst will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements for major/mid-major and independent accounts. The CC Analyst initiates discussions with accounts during the onboarding process and beyond, looking for opportunities to re-align on process, adapting to the needs of the business. The Analyst will review Vendor Manuals, Contracts, Customer Portals and provide detailed notations of sections identified as needing further review, and then maintain system profiles and order data accordingly. The person in this role will also research deductions to clear aging while determining root cause, with possible follow-up meetings being scheduled to address concerns. The Analyst will be responsible for compilation and maintenance of data, following up with partners to ensure task accountability, and disputing of various customer compliance violations when necessary.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
  • 2. Conduct research of non-compliance penalties, analyzing trends for root cause understanding, and monitoring wholesale operational performance
  • 4. Review Compliance requirements as part of the new customer onboarding process, looking to identify possible conflicts with Deckers’ standard processes or terms & conditions, seeking formal exemptions with customers as appropriate
  • 3. Initiate and lead meetings with internal business units, engaging external partners as necessary, to remediate any operational gaps or deficiencies in compliance processes
  • 1. Manage Major and Mid-major customer accounts reviewing and negotiating contracts, terms, shipping/packing requirements and Value-Added services, advocating for Deckers’ interests, protecting margins and process
Who You Are
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-driven with a high degree of autonomy, inquisitiveness, and discipline with respect to time and priority management
Able to organize and drive consensus in meetings with peers, superiors, and external partners
We’d love to hear from people with
  • Knowledge of Vendor Compliance and Distribution concepts, preferably in US Retail to include footwear/apparel/accessory retailers or suppliers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel for data analysis & interpretation
  • Experience working effectively in complex organizations, satisfying the needs of cross functional teams, and often working under the pressure of competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

$68,000 - $73,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
