Job Description

Manage direct customer account data for Pharmaceutical customers in US and Puerto Rico to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements. Customer Analysts review all incoming customer account creation and change requests, validate licensing and determine what (if any) additional requirements are needed to comply with regulatory requirements and Pharmaceutical policies. In addition, Customer Analysts assign trade classification to customer accounts, which drives customer invoice terms, discounts, taxes, eligibility for contract pricing, and may control access to specified products. Customer Analysts are also responsible for the creation and maintenance of pricing records in SAP in accordance with established controls and processes for US, and Puerto Rico pharmaceutical products. This position is critical to the successful operation of the business as Master data is used to drive business operations from Customer Service through Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to information requests from Customer Service Reps, Contracts, Credit Collections and Trade
  • Perform due diligence research including a comprehensive search of internal and external databases to determine and verify account’s primary business activity to assign the appropriate trade class. Errors could result in non-compliance in areas of the government reporting, FDA and loss of revenue.
  • Create and maintain customers within their appropriate sales organization and company area to ensure accurate revenue data in downstream financials. Requires extensive knowledge of SAP partner functions.
  • Maintain customer product portfolios to ensure compliance with PDMA/FDA guidelines and ensure Pharmaceutical’s distributor website reflects data consistent with any restrictions.
  • Establish and maintain various pricing records for sales order management including but not limited to list prices, contract prices, promotions/deals, returns accruals, and other ad-hoc pricing requests as required by the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and 1-2 years' experience working in customer service and supply chain management.
  • SAP and Microsoft office, internet navigation, industry knowledge regarding customer classification and functionality preferred, knowledge of basic pricing/contracting strategies, awareness of regulatory issues concerning shipping and storing pharmaceutical product.
