Job Summary:

The mission of the Customer Advocacy Specialist is to contribute to critical efforts to generate customer insights and formulate strategies for telling our customers stories and developing customer champions with our customer base.

You will be responsible for executing D2L's advocacy program and related customer marketing initiatives, contributing towards increased retention and adoption, driving leads, and shortening the sales cycle.

Major Responsibilities (How Will I Make an Impact?):

  • Ensuring customer marketing goals and messaging are clearly understood and achieved
  • Developing and publishing customer summaries and success stories in collaboration with D2L customers
  • Managing several time-sensitive priorities while keeping a big picture view
  • Staying up-to-date with customer marketing and advocacy trends to deliver excellent stories and contribute to D2L's advocacy center of excellence
  • Enabling messengers to expand the D2L Champions program further into academic markets, increase customer reviews, and source and amplify customer stories
  • Promoting and amplifying customer use cases and accomplishments while building relationships with customers and industry contacts
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create core assets and content for promoting customers and their stories
  • Coordinating with various departments within Marketing to ensure advocacy programs are supported across key markets

Competencies (What you’ll bring to the role):

  • Detail Oriented: You have a keen attention to detail with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • Storyteller: Bachelor's degree in marketing, copywriting, or related field with 2-4 years of experience
  • Communicator: You’ve created a collection of collateral and marketing communications. Your excellent written and oral communication skills are top notch.
  • Motivated: You are a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative technology environment.
  • A True Team Player: You have the ability to coordinate resources across sales, marketing and services functions and build rapport with sales team and other professional staff
  • Go Getter: You have a high motivation with a sense of urgency and willingness to adjust in a fast-paced environment. You are capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization.
