Position: Credit Reporting Specialist

Location: Austin, TX (Fulltime)

Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00

The Credit Reporting team is responsible for managing all FCRA programs and the individual investor guidelines associated with credit reporting. The Specialist will receive inbound mail and other borrower correspondence and assist with inquiries, complaints and disputes within guidelines established by the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) and FCRA.  The goal being to find a resolution that fits each borrower’s circumstance but also adhere to Investor and Regulatory requirements for Credit Reporting.  The Specialist is expected to analyze written requests, resolve and answer inquiries related to mortgage loans and route escalations to the appropriate department.

• Participate in E-OSCAR and CDIA training as determined by the Loan Administration Manager
• Requesting and Reviewing Credit Reports;
• Maintaining and Reviewing the NAF FCRA and Reg. V program;
• Maintaining and Updating a Disputes and Complaints database;
• Review, Document, and Maintain Property Address change Requests;
• Reviewing and responding to ACDV requests daily from E-Oscar;
• Review Fraud Alerts and Active Duty alerts provided from the Credit Bureaus;
• Assist in developing Accuracy and Integrity programs;
• Assist with overseeing the Servicing Divisions Red Flag/ Identity Theft Program;
• Responding to Direct Disputes regarding Credit reporting;
• Have CDIA certification and FCRA certification;
• Assisting in developing Procedures and Job Aids for the Credit Reporting Department

• Must have demonstrated ability to collaborate and work well with others;
• Must be able to pass background investigation.
• Must have demonstrated ability to achieve goals;
• Ability to work a Full time schedule that includes some weekends.
• Strong knowledge of the MSP Servicing Platform;
• Has knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts and practices and procedures within the mortgage industry;
• The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in Mortgage Servicing.   
• Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills;
• History of reliable attendance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines;
• Good business writing and math skills;
• Strong PC skills. Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Outlook and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment;
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
