Senior Manager, Credit Bureau Reporting
What you’ll do:
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new regulations, and emerging technologies related to credit bureau reporting
  • Work closely with the engineering, interdepartmental teams, and suppliers to direct the credit reporting technology roadmap
  • Oversee issue management deliverables in the assurance of timely closure and successful audit validation
  • Train and mentor team members in your area and others on credit bureau reporting
  • Interface with regulators for guidance, support regulatory exams/visits, and contribute to industry roundtable discussions
  • Define and monitor performance objectives and metrics to ensure operational excellence
  • Work closely with other department leaders to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate goals, budget, and activities of the Credit Bureau Reporting unit
  • Develop and implement credit bureau reporting policies, procedures, and best practices for data furnishing and dispute resolution
  • Provide reporting to various levels of executive and management forums
  • Actively participate/own requirements and data mapping to generate a Metro2 file for Data Furnishing
  • Actively participate in identifying process improvement opportunities within the department
  • Analyze reporting data to identify trends, prioritize corrective actions based on a risk ranking approach, and drive the execution of the solution
  • Work closely with other SoFi product groups to assess data furnishing needs and dispute resolution impacts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with credit bureaus, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the credit bureau reporting ecosystem
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and other relevant laws and regulations
Skills and experience desired:
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, such as banking or financial services.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple and changing priorities
  • Experience working with credit bureau reporting systems, such as Metro 2 validation tools or e-OSCAR
  • In-depth knowledge of credit bureau reporting regulations, including FCRA and CFPB requirements
  • 6+ years of strategic planning and execution experience
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in credit bureau reporting, data furnishing, dispute resolution, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
  • Ability to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced understanding of industry standards for data furnishing and the Metro 2 format
  • 3+ years of team management and career development experience
Preferred experience:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Scrum, and Lean
  • Business Process Management certification
  • Program Management certification
  • Professional certification in credit bureau reporting, such as the Credit Reporting Resource Guide (CRRG) certification, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Certification

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
