About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Risk Officer to help lead the Dealer Management and Aftermarket Product Risk Oversight space. This position is focused on helping the business efficiently achieve its goals while effectively managing risks across the board. This is a critical second line of defense function in the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) organization, aligned to Wells Fargo Auto.

In This Role, You Will
- Monitor, assess, and report on Dealer Management and Aftermarket Product risk
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management and provide credible challenge of business strategies, processes, and controls
- Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Interpret and develop policies and procedures for level of risk taken in credit activities
- Interact with Audit, Legal and Compliance on risk related topics
- Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management
- 5+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Proven ability to conduct complex data analysis and solve business problems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships
- Demonstrated track record of extracting, analyzing and synthesizing data into well-articulated business insights that can be clearly communicated to a variety of partners
- Experience in auto lending preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative or business-related field (ex. Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration.). Advanced degree preferred
- Advanced experience with SAS and SQL and working with large data sets
- Strong collaboration skills - Demonstrated ability to successfully manage strategic issues with business partners across industry
