Job Summary:
Analyze Credit reporting procedures/policies against established standards and the Credit Reporting Resource Guide (CRRG). Responsible for ensuring Exeter is reporting accurate data to the Credit Reporting Agencies (Experian, Transunion and Equifax per the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Job Duties:
  • Understand the data within specialty processes of Bankruptcy, Repossessions, Charge Offs, Write-downs, etc. and how it is applied to the logic of the month end reporting file.
  • Responsible for defining/testing Credit Bureau reporting logic updates to ensure updates are successful and there are no unintended consequences
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the month end reporting file(s) are compliant, reducing risk within the company.
  • Maintain validation of month end parse files to internal policies/procedures. Maintains policies/procedures with timely and up-to-date information
  • Analyze, identify and resolve variances in reporting that does not meet Metro 2 Standards and the Fair Credit Reporting Act requirements; Provide recommendations and advice weighing in the pros/cons of solutions to leadership.
  • Validate accuracy of the data on month end reporting file by comparing against requirements. They will use tools including but not limited to writing sequel queries, business rules and DataArc. This position will gain a thorough knowledge of processes including Bankruptcy, Repossession, Loss Mitigation, ETC in order to identify/write the logical requirements used during creation of the month end reporting file. Once an issue has been identified, they will then be responsible for writing the solution requirements to close the issue. They will be an essential participant in all Credit Bureau Reporting logic updates including writing requirements and participating in UAT (User Acceptance Training).
  • Validate vendor invoices and recommend for approval.
  • Build partnerships with assigned vendor(s) and interact as the point-of-contact for daily business.
  • Create User Acceptance test scripts for Credit Bureau reporting projects that will assist in thorough testing of reporting logic before implementation thereby reducing risk of inaccurate reporting.
Education and Work Experience:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Three (3)+ years of strong analytical & problem solving skills required, as well as the ability to utilize appropriate analysis, judgment, and logic.
  • Must possess sound judgment in gaging the severity of identified problems.
  • High attention to detail; able to methodically review the execution of procedures and identify issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Proficient in SQL Development
  • Ability to manage complex processes and produce reports from beginning to end.
  • Three (3)+ years of experience in FCRA, Metro 2 Standards and CRRG (Credit Reporting Resource Guidelines)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision, work independently and drive results.
Compensation Information
Salary Range: $49,600 - $68,200
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
