Position Overview

The Course Development Manager is the licensed professional accountable for quality continuing education programming. The programs include but are not limited to, continuing education (CE), certification preparation and certification review courses, podcasts, webinars, and blogs. They are accountable for course content quality and functions to support the work. The Course Development Manager models professionalism and exemplifies standards of quality in the work performed.

What You'll Do

• Develops Statements of Work (SOWs) for projects, and finds, onboards, and trains appropriate contractors/freelancers – with an emphasis on developing a good rapport with authors, reviewers, and learners.
• Participates in the educational design, creation, and maintenance of healthcare product inventory
• Participates in all aspects of CE accreditation.
• Executes regular check-ins with SMEs to ensure maximum cohesion and effectiveness; identifies risks and clearly communicates goals to ensure tight coordination on project progress and deadlines
• Participates in various committees as required. Coordinates with other teams (e.g. – marketing, creative, accreditation, editing, etc.) to ensure timely and accurate presentation of content
• Proficient in CE trends and policies and procedures set by CE certifying/accrediting agencies.
• Beginning-to-end project management of the development of content across various healthcare disciplines, including researching and writing project scope, onboarding, and training subject matter expert contractors, and overseeing the content development process
• Oversees development of interprofessional programming with a focus on state mandated requirements.
• Partners with Accreditation and Regulatory team to ensure all content meets accreditation, regulatory, and compliance standards
• Participates in the planning of educational activities.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure content meets the needs of the customer.
• Manages the editing and proofing of editorial material (enduring, webinar, slide decks, video formats).
• Other duties as assigned
• Understands existing content gaps and identifies learning & development of educational needs.
• Establishes productivity goals and regularly meets or exceeds them

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 3+ years of full-time experience developing/editing/producing continuing education (CE) or test-prep material
• Experience using project management software (i.e., Monday.com) preferred
• Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects at once, ensuring milestones and completion deadlines are met
• Experience working in a clinical healthcare environment preferred; active healthcare licensing is a plus
