Corporate Staff Accountant

Summary


This position is responsible for conducting accounting and reporting activities in Corporate Accounting. These activities will be done with timeliness and accuracy to control the organization’s financial resources, ensure that it complies with all relevant accounting principles and provides exceptional decision support to senior management. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the monthly accounting close, preparing financial statements, and completing month end and year end reporting packages.


Key Responsibilities


The key responsibilities of this function include but are not limited to:


  • Assisting with divisional peer reviews
  • Preparing consolidated internal and external financials statements
  • Contributing to and implementing accounting procedures
  • Other activities and special projects as assigned.
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations and assist with monthly close.
  • Business partnering with divisions and corporate departments.
  • Preparing federal and state governmental reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

Education And Experience


  • Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Advanced technology skills with experience with Excel, ERP systems and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • 2-4 years of related experience


WORK ENVIRONMENT


Hybrid Three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote


May require occasional travel. May require working over 40 hours a week
