Staff Accountant - Entry Level
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ROLE
Location: Monmouth County NJ
Hybrid / Remote 2 days per week
Salary: To$80K depending on experience

Well established financial services organization in Monmouth County is seeking to add to their accounting team in this Professional Development position. In this role, the Staff Accountant will gain exposure to various departments and teams with the Corporate Accounting department. The Staff Accountant will rotate among teams to gain experience in various accounting, finance and operations aspects of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare account reconciliations.
  • Assist with projects associated with a fast paced and growing organization.
  • Create ad-hoc reports from the general ledger, investment portfolio, and other data systems
  • Assist in the preparation, review and submission of various internal and external financial reports.
  • Responsible for analyzing balance sheet and income statement trends and variances.
  • Responsible for accounting for investments and maintaining the general ledger for several subsidiaries.
Qualifications
  • Attention to detail, control oriented and time management skills are essential.
  • Strong research, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
  • 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Ability to work in a fast-paced Accounting environment which has tight deadlines to Senior Management.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite of products, primarily Excel, and its analytical, formula, and financial functions (specifically V-Look-ups, Pivot Tables and Sum If formulas)
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, concentration in Accounting preferred.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
