Job Description
About Us:
Onelin Capital Corporation (OCC) is a Seattle-based multi-asset investment management firm. We span across the globe and invest and manage across different asset classes, including real estate (acquisition, development, and property management) and venture (early to late-stage technology companies).
We are looking for the role of Accounting Specialist to assist in the day-to-day operations of the finance team, including invoicing & collections, customer relations, accounts payable, and other accounting activities. This role will report to the Controller and be responsible for using excellent communication skills to respond to internal and customer inquiries while operating with the utmost integrity. This position requires a highly detail-oriented individual with good written and oral presentation capacities, and ability to work within a team.
Responsibilities:
Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate books using QuickBooks or a similar accounting software.
Prepare and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and bill payment.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Prepare and file sales tax returns, payroll taxes, and other tax-related documents as needed.
Prepare and distribute financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, to management.
Maintain an organized and accurate filing system for financial records.
Communicate with the company's tax accountant and other financial advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Assist with budget preparation and other financial planning activities.
Serve as a principal coordinator between the Finance team, customers, and all other internal stakeholders.
Ensure the complete, accurate, and timely processing of all transactions
Support the Finance team with key accounting-related activities, including payment processing, limited journal entries, and boosting internal data integrity
Assist with any general projects needed within AP group.
Run reports to support both Senior A/R & A/P Manager, Controller, and CFO to understand A/R and A/P trends better
Serve as the trained backup for a variety of roles, possibly including payables processing, expense card, and expense report processing, among others
Perform administrative tasks, including but not limited to scheduling appointments and maintain calendars, s=coordinating staff and other meetings, maintaining filing systems.
Basic Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with experience in the real estate industry preferred.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks or a similar accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
· A strong desire to collaborate with others and work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
General knowledge of Yardi
Previous A/P experience with a large volume of payments processed each month
