The Instructional Designer position will be responsible for supporting all components of training which include, but are not limited to, training content creation across all departments, training administration and end user support of the Learning Management System, creation and coordination of internal communications, and general administrative support of the Risk & Safety department.

General Duties
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include (but Not Limited To)

• Analyze training needs and assess training effectiveness.
• Create, develop, and edit training videos and other media.
• Design and develop storyboards that meet learning objectives.
• Develop/organize Excel reports and PowerPoint presentations.
• Communication of work progress and report to the Training & Development Manager.
• Create instructional material: courses, curriculum, guides and training manuals.
• Redesign content to ensure it matches the learner’s needs.
• Represent Atlantic Aviation in a professional and positive manner.
• Create, coordinate, and track internal Safety communications.
• Coordinate and moderate Risk & Safety conference calls
• Train employees on Learning Management System usage.
• Conduct research and collaborate with subject experts.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned, such as:
• Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, scenarios, etc.)
• Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.
• Generate required reports from the Learning Management System.
• Create engaging, interactive and impactful eLearning modules and additional training material.
• Perform required Learning Management System administration and respond to associated support tickets.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Operational understanding of Learning Management Systems (Absorb LMS experience highly preferred).
• Positive attitude; always willing to learn.
• Possess high level of maturity and treatment of confidential matters.
• Significant experience with effective learning and development methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, RAD, The 6 Disciplines of Breakthrough Learning, Bloom’s Taxonomy, etc.
• Must be open to occasional overtime as needed or required.
• Occasional travel required.
• Must be present in-office Tuesday through Thursday. Monday and Friday can be work from home.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Proficiency in use of MS Office products including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Bachelor’s degree in Learning Technology, Marketing and/or Communications, Education Or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
• Portfolio of sample work will be required
• Significant experience in use of eLearning development tools: Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and Camtasia.
• Proficiency in use of Adobe Creative Cloud products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Audition (Premier Premiere Pro CC and After Effects a plus).
• Proficiency in photography/videography (preferred)
