As a Medical Copy Editor/Proofreader at Onward Search, you’ll get to showcase your expertise in elevating the art of concision. You'll work with copywriters, designers, developers, project managers, and account managers to ensure documents are of high quality in terms of scientific content, organization, clarity, accuracy, format, and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Verifies statistics and facts against internal and external sources.
• Superior knowledge of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Adherence to AMA Manual of Style, AP Stylebook, Chicago Manual of Style
• Performs line-editing and proofreading, ensuring the most correct accuracy, consistency, coherence, grammar, logic, spelling, structure, and basic fact-checking (correct dates, names, trademarks, proprietary names, and brand names, etc.)
• Monitors, tracks, and incorporates all compliance language updates to ensure materials comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Demonstrates working knowledge of financial and investment concepts.
• 3+ years of experience as a copyeditor in a collaborative environment reviewing content in multimedia forms (digital, print).
• Experience in the financial, pharmaceutical, or medical industry is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, writing, or an associated field is preferred.
