About The Role

The Editorial team provides writing and editing services across CrowdStrike. In addition to providing writing support for various projects across the company, this team ensures all published content is of the highest quality and incorporates CrowdStrike’s values and messaging priorities.

This position has a preference to candidates based on the East Coast but open to remote USA.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Director of Editorial Content with managing the content development process.
• Content writing for ad hoc projects as needed (white papers, blogs, etc.).
• Participate in content writing for customer stories, including writing interview questions, talking with the customer, and seeing each project through from start to finish.
• Work closely with internal partners across marketing, corporate communications, PR, social media, and more to take written projects from conception to completion and achieve the highest quality of output.
• Copyedit all written content that flows through the editorial team — including blogs, reports, white papers, eBooks, and more — as well as strategic marketing campaigns.

What You’ll Need

• Versatile team player and a self-starter with a “Sure thing!” attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Be able to match the pace and unpredictability of the cybersecurity industry.
• Familiarity with print/digital asset production processes
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong copyediting skills: can catch errors not just in words/sentences but also in designed formats; for example, inconsistencies between images and copy, incorrect formatting, etc.
• A willingness to occasionally work outside of normal office hours.
• Strong writing skills; a desire to take on writing assignments
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to exercise good editorial judgment and discretion
• Experience using internal and external style guides
• 5-10 years of related experience, ideally with a background in technology. Cybersecurity is a plus.
• Ability to work quickly and effectively across a range of priorities and product lines
• Experience in journalism, marketing, communications, or another related field
• Strong experience in messaging and ensuring content is aligned with the company’s vision and mission
• Outside-the-box problem solving skills
• An ability to pivot on a moment’s notice as high-priority projects arise.
• Extremely well-organized
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and systems

Bonus Points

• Experience working in the Cybersecurity industry.
• Experience with a CMS such as WordPress.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position in the U.S. is $70,000 - $130,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
