ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Institute for School - Community Partnerships, Integrated Services, and Child Mental Health and Educational Policy in the College of Education is nationally recognized research and training center that provides technical assistance to school districts and other service delivery leaders throughout the United States. The Institute's $20 million budget is derived from grants from federal, state, and private sources. It is the mission of the Institute's to implement research-based and innovative practices in Florida Schools though the use of technical assistance, training, coaching, and program evaluation. The Institute, through various projects, seeks to help enable all schools in the state of Florida to provide a safe, effective, and efficient environment; to continuously improve the academic and social/emotional growth of ALL students; and to engage families and communities in the schooling process.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinator works with the Program Director, Deputy Director, and local districts to support program and policy alignment for academically successful, resilient, and safe school districts. This position will engage in policy and program review as well as development of communication and related content for the Florida Department of Education (FDOE).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Coordinator works with the Program Director, Deputy Director, and local districts to support program and policy alignment for academically successful, resilient, and safe schools. Promotes, supports, and determines compliance for districts and schools through providing training and technical assistance to educators and other key partners.
The Coordinator will engage in policy and program review as well as development of communication and related content. Conducts reviews and analyzes data to support academically successful, resilient, and safe schools through informing policy and programming. The position also develops materials and resources that communicate critical information regarding safe, resilient and academically successful schools.
Meets and collaborates with school, district, state, family, and community partners to inform the development of academically successful, resilient, and safe schools. The position is expected to manifest the Departments fundamental values of quality, fairness, cooperation, respect, commitment, excellence, honesty, and teamwork.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Education, Adult Education, or equivalent field with one year of experience in a professional training position; or a Master's degree in the same field.
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in Communication, Education, Adult Education, or equivalent field.
