Job Summary: As the Controller/CFO of ERC, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations and strategy of our small construction company. Reporting directly to the executive team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, developing financial strategies, and driving the company's overall financial success.

Responsibilities

Financial Management: Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.Develop and monitor budgets, providing regular reports on budget vs. actual performance.Assist with financial forecasting, planning, and analysis to support decision-making. Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by the executive team.Lead financial planning and forecasting, including budgeting, cash flow management, and working capital optimization. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Oversee the completion of all tax filings and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. Process Improvement and Systems: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting tools.Streamline accounting procedures and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Evaluate and implement accounting software or systems upgrades as necessary. Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.Communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives to the executive team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred.Minimum 4 years of financial leadership experience, preferably in the construction industry or a related field.Strong knowledge of financial management principles, financial analysis, and financial modeling.Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.Proficiency in financial software, Computerease preferred.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
