Plant Controller Jobs

We are seeking a results-driven Plant Controller to lead our finance and accounting team at our manufacturing facility. As the primary finance and accounting leader on-site, the Plant Controller will serve as a crucial member of our site leadership team, driving financial management and accountability throughout the operation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborating with managers across the organization to identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and cost reductions.
• Ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with GAAP and Company policies by establishing robust controls and conducting regular account reconciliations.
• Managing general accounting functions and maintaining high standards of financial accuracy.
• Conducting variance, cost estimates, and budget/expenditure analysis, making recommendations for financial performance improvements.
• Fulfilling managerial responsibilities including hiring, coaching, performance management, and budget oversight for the finance/accounting department.
• Preparing, monitoring, and managing the financial and capital budgeting process for the plant.
• Managing the preparation and presentation of all financial data, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Overseeing local financial reporting systems and analysis of management reports.
• Managing internal and external financial audit requirements.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role is desirable.
• Proficiency in general and cost accounting, including setting standard costs.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in financial software systems, MS Office Suite, and ERP / MRP systems.
• Experience in profit and loss analysis, standard operating, and capital budgeting.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in finance/accounting, with a preference for candidates with experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and influential prowess.
• Proven analytical skills and familiarity with report preparation for decision-making.
• Excellent organization skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
