Meta’s Reality Labs (RL) Legal division has a full-time contingent worker opening for an experienced and motivated Contract Manager. The ideal candidate should be a driven, organized, process-oriented self-starter with a passion for the legal industry and AR/VR.

The RL Legal team processes a high volume of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and is looking for a candidate with contracts experience to manage both the NDA process on a day-to-day basis and RL’s NDA Portal, an automated system to generate and manage NDAs. The candidate will be the primary point of contact for RL business partners and RL attorneys on NDA issues.

The candidate will be responsible for managing & improving the RL NDA process and will handle regular NDA negotiations with sophisticated third-parties and coordinate internal escalations. The candidate will be expected to take ownership and proactively manage the NDA Portal (including its continued design and improvements) and coordinating between various teams across RL Legal, Legal Operations and enterprise IT.

Contract Negotiations

The ideal candidate will be familiar with negotiating, drafting, and managing NDAs, with the goal of developing subject matter expertise. The candidate will also have an understanding of contracts generally, contract governance, and contractual language. The candidate must have the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams across Meta. Experience negotiating NDAs within the bounds of approved positions and escalating appropriately is highly desirable.

Contract Administration

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing guidance on facilitating signatures on NDAs; developing, optimizing and managing the NDA Portal and related workflow systems; and creating and maintaining NDA playbooks and business-facing NDA resources. Additionally, the candidate will provide general administrative and operational support to the RL business partners and RL Legal team relating to the NDA process.

Project Management

The candidate will also have an opportunity to support the RL legal team in a project management capacity, including developing processes and policies that improve NDA transaction speed, efficiency and standardization. The candidate will also be expected to assist in the development of NDA related templates, playbooks and training across RL Legal’s many teams. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively is a must.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills, and must be able to set clear goals and schedules, canvass support and input from cross-functional stakeholders and drive projects towards execution.

Other Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with maintenance and use of contract repositories and electronic signature tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint), Google tools (G:drive, G:doc, Google sites) and Adobe.
