Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team.


As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for engaging with contractors in the construction industry and promoting and selling our wide range of construction materials, including foundation and framing hardware, fasteners, windows & doors, interior and exterior building materials, and more.


Your primary goal will be to build strong relationships with contractors, understand their needs, and provide them with tailored solutions to meet their project requirements.


Responsibilities:


- Identify and prospect potential customers within the construction industry, including contractors, builders, and construction companies.

- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our construction materials, highlighting how they meet the specific needs of contractors.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring regular communication to understand their ongoing project needs and providing exceptional customer service.

- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns to drive sales growth and increase market share.

- Continuously stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new construction materials, enabling you to provide up-to-date product knowledge and insights to customers.

- Negotiate and finalize sales agreements, ensuring pricing, terms, and conditions align with company policies and profitability goals.

- Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand your professional network and generate leads.

- Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to track progress against sales targets and contribute to sales meetings and business reviews.

- Collaborate with the internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless order processing and timely delivery of materials.

- Provide feedback and insights from the field to the product development team, contributing to the continuous improvement of our product offerings.


Qualifications:


- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction industry or selling construction-related products.

- Strong knowledge of construction materials, including foundation and framing hardware, fasteners, and building materials, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with contractors.

- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and generating new business opportunities.

- Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with a proactive and persistent approach to sales.

- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.

- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer interactions, track leads, and maintain accurate sales records.

- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
