Contract Manager Jobs

A Carter Lumber is Contract Manager is responsible for reviewing and analyzing contracts from our customers. The Contract Manager will work with the Director of Installed Sales in making the appropriate edits to the contracts, to begin the negotiation process. This position works directly with the Field Personnel as well as many other departments inside of the company. Effective Communication and the ability to learn and understand contract language is mandatory for the success of this position.

Requirements:

• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Solid knowledge with the legal aspects and their long-term impact is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Solid comprehension and understanding of contractual language, within the construction industry is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

ContractManagement

• Reviews and analyzes incoming contracts from the field and makes the appropriate changes before sending back to the field.
• Tracks contract compliance, updates and adjust contracts as required.
• Partners with the Director Installed Sales and outside legal counsel as necessary to ensure contracts are legally sufficient.

Program Development& Implementation

• Analyzes the process and recommends best practices and helps make and communicate changes to the program.
• Ensures all stores and installers have updated program materials and are aware of the guidelines that they must follow to meet quality and service standards.
• Aids in developing and implementing the policies and procedures of the installed sales program.
• Manages all insurance requirements for each approved contract by effectively communicating with the insurance company to ensure contracts meet compliance.
• Handling pre qualifications from our customers and working with them to acquire insurance certificates.
• Provides guidance to stores so that the company can properly execute the program.

Training and Development

• Reports to the Director of Installed Sales.
• Assists in developing and implementing training for all employees regarding the process, policies and direction of installed sales.
