Job Summary:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for driving geothermal energy projects from inception to final operational success. The ideal candidate will have project management skills with an emphasis on heavy industrial, utility/power, refinery, or similar construction project management. This role will be the motivating force behind the success of simultaneous projects while managing a diverse positive workforce.
Essential Functions:
- Complies with federal, state, and local laws.
- Meets quality standards throughout development.
- Serves as the point of contact to ensure team actions remain in alignment with project goals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Collaborates with executives and/or management concerning designs, redesigns, or enhancement to work sites.
- Procure and source materials & work force appropriate to specific project.
- Effectively manage contractors, engineers, budgets, schedules, procurement, quality control programs, safety, etc.
- Manages and coordinates projects in accordance with approved budgets, timelines, and specifications.
- Completes all documentation and administration tasks with accuracy and time-sensitive urgency.
- Evaluates bids, ensuring compliance with departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Adjust schedules and target projects as needs or financing changes.
- Delegates tasks of the project to employees of team with appropriate skill sets.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to prepare reports, manage data, and analyze engineering proposals.
· Ability to prepare and monitor project departmental costs and expenditures.
· Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
· Excellent computer skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred Mechanical) or Construction Management degree
- Heavy industrial, utility/power, refinery, or similar construction project management experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Experience in mechanical installations, power plants, chemical engineering, mining and/or offloading for pressure vessel.
- Construction project management designation (PMP)
- Five years+ of experience in geothermal energy management field.
- Geothermal renewable energy
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse all areas of construction sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to visually inspect construction sites, systems, and projects.
