Construction Crew - Ironworker

An Ironworker is responsible for completing the following duties:

• Heavy Vibratory & Crushing Equipment
• Weld and/or bolt pieces into place
• Identify and install proper hardware
• Lay out and set steel for the crane
• Torch and/or drill holes for proper figment
• Ability to properly signal crane operators to lift and position steel
• Conveyors
• Follow all job site safety procedures
• Align motor sheaves and install drive belts
• Rotation Schedule, 11 days on 3 days off
• Structural Steel
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to ensure all pieces are fitted properly and make decisions when needed
• Walkways, Handrails & Stairs
• Travel Required
  • Rotation Schedule, 11 days on 3 days off
• Safe operation and use of all tools and equipment needed to complete daily tasks
• Erection and Assembly of:
  • Structural Steel
  • Conveyors
  • Heavy Vibratory & Crushing Equipment
  • Walkways, Handrails & Stairs

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Drivers License
• Read and understand erection drawings
• Comfort working at heights
• Unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel
• Ability to rig steel for crane
• Time management
• Ability to read and follow equipment manuals and checklists
• Work with: bull pins, sleever bars, chain come alongs and hammers
• Manual dexterity to use tools and factory machines
